Success Rate: 75% resolve with these steps

Before You Start — Try This First

  • Check your bank website directly to make sure it is working normally
  • Confirm your online banking credentials are correct
  • Make sure QuickBooks is fully updated
  • Check if your bank has sent any security update notifications

Step-by-Step Fix

Step 1

Update QuickBooks

Help → Update QuickBooks Desktop → Update Now → Install all available updates → Restart QuickBooks → Try bank feed again

Step 2

Refresh Bank Feed Connection

In QuickBooks go to your bank account → Edit → Delete the bank feed connection → Set it up again fresh with your banking credentials

Clear QuickBooks Cache

Close QuickBooks → Press Windows + R → Type %appdata% → Navigate to Intuit → QuickBooks → Delete the cache folder → Reopen QuickBooks → Try bank feed

Step 6

Use Web Connect Instead

Download transactions manually from your bank website as a .QBO file → In QuickBooks: File → Utilities → Import → Web Connect Files → Select your downloaded file

Step 7

Contact Your Bank

Ask your bank if they have made any changes to their online banking platform or QuickBooks connectivity that requires action on your account.
